Enforcing Transparency With Charities

The Current Problem

Simply put, current charitable organizations and donation systems are a black box. Once donations go in, there’s very little means to trace the use of those funds. If the money flow could be traceable, it would improve accountability and the organization, as a whole. Thus the immense potential of using blockchain to move funds from a starting point to and end point.

• NFT royalties are categorized and pooled on the royalty contract

• Money usage is traceable from start to finish

• Eventually, our goal is for the community to manage each point to deliver the funds exactly as desired

A charitable foundation must share how their funds will be used with the DAO within 5w 1h and then request that amount. Within a certain period of time, they must report their spendings to the DAO. If they don’t report it properly, they are slashed and cannot request any more funds. Those requests and the expenditures will be published on the DAO as well as other mediums.

The Trust Level for Donation to Foundations

With incremental success of the request and report flow, donation foundations can raise their trust level on the DAO, just like an individual credit score when borrowing money. How much they can request at one time depends on their trust level. Every foundation starts at a low level, where the amount that they can request is capped. After they accumulate achievements, their trust level will increase, and they can request more money. The same system applies for community led efforts.

After the launch of the DAO in 2023, we will work with the community to create the framework for community-led betterment efforts.

Payment Specifications

NFT royalty contracts store all royalties categorically, until the withdraw request is made. The list of donation foundations (charities), their trust levels and tracking records are managed on the DAO. NFT royalty contracts accept only valid requests, which are authorized by the DAO, and withdrawn to donation foundation addresses.

Investors can support certain attributes of Mitama by trading an NFT at a higher price and amount. Then the total amount of royalty will increase, and the potential support becomes greater.

Mitamaverse Utility

The log of successful payments from the DAO to support social betterment becomes the history of the Mitama making the world a better place. These details become historical and permanent records. This ledger of betterment becomes the basis of how human spirit and faith is distributed in the Mitamaverse. It creates a literal well of power for the Mitama in the wild.
